eSIMzio eSIM review: prices, coverage and our verdict

Prices and value

Plans are sold in fixed sizes with a set validity. Its Turkey page, for example, runs from 1 GB for 7 days to 20 GB for 15 days. The price block beside this section shows its current prices per country.

The same price block shows its current rates for popular destinations such as Turkey, Spain, Japan and the United States.

Unlimited plans carry a stated daily cap, and standard plans come in fixed sizes. The price block beside this section shows what each country costs.

Its apps advertise 2% cashback on every plan and referral credit. Its buy page says website purchases are charged in pounds sterling through Stripe, while the app prices in your local currency.

Coverage and networks

The country list beside this section shows where eSIMzio plans are available. Its site offers country plans and a section for regional and global eSIMs.

Its destination pages name the network. For Turkey, it lists Türk Telekom with 5G where available, and says the app shows the live network name. Its privacy policy names Airalo as its eSIM provisioning partner. Its terms say coverage and speeds are estimates and that actual performance may vary.

The country list beside this section also shows current prices for each destination.

Plans and flexibility

Its Turkey page, for example, lists six standard plans from 1 GB for 7 days to 20 GB for 15 days, and unlimited plans for 3, 5 or 7 days.

Its unlimited plans have a fair use limit shown before you buy. On its Turkey page, that is full speed for the first 3 GB each day, then 1 Mbps until the next day. Validity starts when the eSIM first connects at your destination, according to its destination pages.

Its help centre says you can top up any time from the My eSIMs screen, and that plans are one-time purchases that do not auto-renew. Plans are data-only, with no phone number, so you keep your usual SIM for calls and texts. We could not find anything on its site or in its terms about hotspot or tethering.

Buying, setup and the app

You can buy in the iOS or Android app, or on the website without the app. Payment is by Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay or Google Pay, handled by Stripe, its help centre says. On the website, you enter an email address and it creates an eSIMzio account with it. The eSIM, receipt and install QR code arrive by email.

Its help centre describes one-tap install in the app, a QR code, or manual entry with the SM-DP+ address and activation code. Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked, and the app checks compatibility before you buy. It recommends installing before you travel and warns never to delete the eSIM profile, as it usually cannot be reinstalled.

The app shows live data usage, top-ups and every eSIM you have bought. On the App Store it has a rating of 5.0 from 2 ratings, and on Google Play it shows 1k+ downloads but no rating that we could see (October 2026). Its App Store version history begins with version 1.0 in July.

Support and refunds

Its help centre says a real person replies within 24 hours, 7 days a week. You can write to hello@esimzio.com, use the contact form on its support page, or go to Profile, then Help, in the app. We could not find live chat or phone support.

According to its help centre, unused eSIMs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if not yet activated, requested from the eSIM's actions in the app. Activated plans are reviewed case by case. Its terms are stricter: they say all purchases are final once an eSIM has been activated, and that it may refuse service to any user for any reason.
