The bottom line

Gigapanda's daily-allowance unlimited plans are useful for heavy users. The trade-offs are no hotspot, no top-ups and a strict refund policy that only covers faults Gigapanda is responsible for. It suits travellers who want data on one phone and are happy to buy a fresh plan if they run out.

Best for: Budget-minded travellers using data on a single phone, especially around Latin America, who don't need hotspot sharing or a phone number.

How we score

Pros

  • Sells local, regional and global plans, including regional plans for Latin America that work in several countries with one eSIM.
  • Account creation on the website is optional, and we found no mention of any ID check.
  • Many unlimited plans with a set amount of full-speed data each day, then reduced speed until the next day.
  • Its help centre says support runs 24/7 on WhatsApp, website chat and email, in Spanish and English.
  • Own app on iPhone and Android, plus a wide choice of payment methods including PayPal, cards, Yape and PIX.

Cons

  • Hotspot and tethering are not allowed, and its refund policy says a chip blocked for tethering is not refunded.
  • No top-ups: to add data you buy a new plan.
  • Data only, with no local phone number or calls.
  • It does not list which networks it uses in each country on the pages we read.
  • Refunds only for faults Gigapanda is responsible for; purchase mistakes are not refunded and cancellations carry fees.

Prices and value

Gigapanda sells plans in several currencies, including euros, pounds and US dollars. The price block beside this section shows its current prices per country.

Prices differ by destination, plan size and length, so check the price block for the country you are visiting.

Many of its plans are unlimited plans with a daily full-speed allowance, so the amount of data you get each day matters as much as the plan price.

Coverage and networks

The country list beside this section shows where Gigapanda plans are sold. Its own site talks of more than 160 destinations, which may include countries reached through multi-country plans.

According to its help centre, it sells local, regional and global plans, including regional plans for Latin America that work in several countries with one eSIM. Its terms say it uses third-party operators and cannot guarantee their capacity or quality, and that speeds can be subject to the local network's fair-use policy. It does not list which networks it uses in each country on the pages we read.

Plans and flexibility

Plan lengths vary, and the plan facts beside this section show the current options. Many plans are unlimited plans. Its help centre explains how these work: each day you get a set amount of full-speed data, shown on the plan, after which you stay connected at a reduced speed and get full speed back the next day. That is a clear, published fair-use rule, but heavy users should check the daily allowance before buying.

There are no top-ups. If you run out, its help centre says you buy a new plan on the website and get a new QR code by email. The eSIMs are data only, with no local number, SMS or traditional calls, so calls need to go through apps such as WhatsApp.

Hotspot and tethering are not allowed. Its help centre says the plans do not include sharing internet with other devices, and suggests each traveller buys their own eSIM.

Buying, setup and the app

You can buy on gigapanda.com or in the Gigapanda app, which is on the App Store and Google Play. The App Store listing says the app lets you install an eSIM without scanning a code, see your eSIMs with their status and remaining days, and reach help over WhatsApp. Account creation on the website is optional, according to its terms, and we found no mention of any ID check.

On the website, the eSIM arrives as a QR code by email. Its help centre recommends installing it over a stable Wi-Fi connection before you leave home, and says the plan starts counting from the first data use. Your phone must support eSIM and must not be locked to a carrier. Its terms also say an eSIM left unused for six months is deleted.

Payment options are wide for a small provider. Its terms list Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club cards, PayPal, Yape in Peruvian soles, PIX in Brazilian reais, and wallets and transfers in Colombian and Argentine pesos. Prices can be shown in several currencies, including euros, pounds and US dollars.

Support and refunds

Its help centre says support is available 24/7 in Spanish and English on WhatsApp, through the chat on its website and by email at help@gigapanda.com, with a human agent taking over when its AI assistant cannot solve a problem.

The refund policy is strict. If a fault is Gigapanda's responsibility, it says it will look at replacing the eSIM first and refund the money if that fails. Purchase mistakes, such as the wrong destination or an incompatible phone, are not refunded. Cancelling for reasons within your control costs 5% for payment fees plus 5 US dollars, changes need at least 48 hours' notice, and once an eSIM is installed or activated the right of withdrawal no longer applies.

You also need to report problems while they happen: the policy says it cannot diagnose faults reported after your trip, and that locked phones, lost or stolen phones, signal dead zones and chips blocked for tethering are not refunded. Buyers in Colombia and Argentina have legal withdrawal periods of five business days and ten calendar days.

Is Gigapanda legit?

Gigapanda is a brand of Inti Mobile S.A.C., a company registered in Peru (RUC 20614333597) with an address in Lince, Lima, and its terms are governed by Peruvian law. The site links to an official Peruvian complaints book. It does not say when the company was founded, and its blog posts go back to late 2025.

Public ratings are positive but thin. Gigapanda has 4.1 on Trustpilot from 7 reviews (October 2026), and its iPhone app does not yet have enough ratings for the App Store to show a score. It is a young, small provider, so expect fewer independent reviews than you would find for larger brands.
