Nomado eSIM review: prices, coverage and our verdict

Prices and value

Nomado's plans are mostly sold in fixed data sizes, and its prices differ by destination. The price block beside this section shows its current prices per country.

Its France page, for example, offers validity choices of 7, 15 and 30 days. Check the plan size and validity for your destination before you buy.

Its terms say prices are in US dollars and taxes may be added at checkout. The price block beside this section shows its current prices.

Coverage and networks

Nomado sells local plans for individual countries, and its site also sells regional and global plans. The country list beside this section shows where its plans work.

Nomado says it works with more than 500 carriers. Its France page, for example, lists Orange, SFR and Bouygues networks. Its terms say it resells mobile network operators' services and does not guarantee speeds or coverage.

Plans and flexibility

Nomado's plans are mostly fixed-data plans. On its France page the validity choices were 7, 15 and 30 days. It also has Premium plans, which its site says slow to 2 Mbps after a high-speed allowance: 30 GB on the 5-day plan, 60 GB on the 10-day plan and 90 GB on the 15-day plan.

Its Google Play listing says you can top up, switch and track usage in the app, and its terms say top-ups follow the same rules as the base plan. According to its terms, validity cannot be paused or extended, and unused data is lost when a plan expires.

Plans are data-only and do not include a phone number for calls or texts. We could not find a clear hotspot or tethering policy on its site or in its terms.

Buying, setup and the app

Nomado's checkout is handled by Stripe, and its terms say it takes major credit and debit cards and other methods shown on the platform. We could not confirm which wallets or other methods are offered.

Its homepage says you have 90 days to install and start using a plan, and that the plan's validity begins once the eSIM is activated and registers on a network. Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked, and its terms say there are no refunds for compatibility problems, so check your phone first.

Nomado has apps for iOS and Android. The App Store shows 5.0 from 2 ratings, and the Google Play listing shows 1K+ downloads with no rating (October 2026).

Support and refunds

Nomado says its support team is available 24/7. You can reach it by email at info@nomadoesim.com or through the contact form, and its help centre has an AI assistant. Its Google Play listing also gives a US support phone number. We did not find a live chat with a person.

Its terms say all sales are generally final. Refunds may be given at its discretion if the service does not work in the advertised area, if a fault on its side stops the download or activation, for duplicate charges, or if the eSIM is not delivered in reasonable time. You must ask within 7 days of purchase, with your order number and evidence.

Refunds are excluded for locked or incompatible phones, installation errors, local network problems, coverage gaps, activated or partly used eSIMs, and changes to travel plans. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 7 to 14 business days.

Is Nomado legit?

Nomado's terms name Nomado, LLC, with an address at 2261 Market Street in San Francisco. Its Google Play listing names a software company in Istanbul, Turkey, as the developer, and the same publisher account lists unrelated apps such as children's games and a fitness challenge. We could not confirm when Nomado was founded.

Its terms, last updated on 1 January 2025, leave the governing law and courts as an unfilled "[Jurisdiction]" placeholder, so it is not clear which country's law applies.

Its public track record is very small. We could not find a Trustpilot profile for Nomado (October 2026); a similarly named eSIM company is a different business. The App Store shows 5.0 from 2 ratings, and Google Play shows no rating. Its terms require you to be 18 or over and do not mention an ID check.
