Esoim eSIM review: prices, coverage and our verdict

Prices and value

Esoim's headline is its short, small passes, usually a 1 GB, one-day pass, in a long list of popular countries including Japan, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, the UK, Thailand and the US. Larger bundles are sold too, such as 50 GB for 30 days in Japan.

Plans are sold in fixed sizes, from a 1 GB one-day pass up to bundles of 50 GB. The price block beside this section shows Esoim's current prices per country.

Prices differ from country to country, so check the live block for your destination. Its site also advertises a 25% discount code for purchases in the app.

Coverage and networks

Esoim sells plans for a long list of countries, and the website itself claims 190+ countries. The country block beside this section shows where it works.

Regional plans cover areas such as Europe, the Balkans, the Caribbean, the Gulf, Central Asia, South America and Africa, plus multi-country bundles like the US and Canada or China, Hong Kong and Macao. The site also sells a global plan covering 120+ areas.

Product pages list 4G, 5G and LTE. According to its FAQ, 5G depends on your phone, on local 5G coverage and on whether the package supports it, which is shown under Network Speed on each plan page. Esoim doesn't name the partner networks on the pages we read.

Plans and flexibility

Validity runs from one day to 365 days. Each country offers only a few sizes: Japan, for instance, offers 1 GB for one day, 1 GB for 7 days, 5 GB, 10 GB, 20 GB and 50 GB for 30 days, and 50 GB for 180 days.

Some plans carry a fair-use extra. The plan pages describe a Non-Stop Internet option on the 1 GB daily passes: after the first 1 GB at full speed, data continues at 1 Mbps for the rest of the 24 hours, which it says is enough for messaging, maps and calls over apps. We found no fully unlimited high-speed plans.

Every plan is data only. The FAQ says your normal number stays on your physical SIM for calls and texts. The app lets you load a wallet balance and buy a new package quickly, but we couldn't find any mention of topping up data on an eSIM you've already installed.

Buying, setup and the app

You can buy on the website or in the Android app. The site takes card payments through Stripe, and the Google Play listing adds PayPal and an in-app wallet. According to the site, the QR code arrives by email right after checkout. You scan it under Settings, then Cellular or Mobile Data, and turn on Data Roaming when you land. The app also lets you copy a configuration code instead of scanning.

Most packages start when the eSIM first connects to a supported network at your destination, so the FAQ suggests installing a day or two before you leave while you're on Wi-Fi. Some packages instead start on a date you choose at checkout, and each plan page shows which rule applies.

The app, Esoim: Global eSIM & Internet, is published on Google Play by San Zeren. The listing showed 50+ downloads and no rating in October 2026. It mentions live data tracking and Google or Apple sign-in. The site shows an App Store button, but it didn't link to a listing and we couldn't find Esoim on the App Store.

Support and refunds

Esoim says it offers 24/7 support. The contact page lists an email address, a contact form and a live chat, but the chat only opens once you're logged in to an account. The FAQ covers the basics, such as restarting the phone, switching on Data Roaming and checking APN settings in the order email.

The return policy is short and clear. You get a full refund within 90 days of purchase if the QR code hasn't been scanned and the eSIM hasn't been installed. Once an eSIM is installed, used or activated, no refund is available. Refunds are requested by email with your order details. The site's terms and conditions page is very brief and doesn't add fair-use or hotspot rules beyond what the plan pages say.

Is Esoim legit?

Esoim is a real business that publishes its details. Its imprint names San Zeren as the representative, gives an address in Sindelfingen, Germany, and lists a German VAT number. The contact page gives Istanbul, Turkey as a location, and the Android app is published under the same name, San Zeren. We couldn't confirm when the business started trading.

There is little independent feedback so far. We found no Trustpilot profile for esoim.com, and the Google Play app had no public rating from its 50+ downloads in October 2026. The star ratings on its own product pages are collected by Esoim itself, so they aren't an independent signal. If that matters to you, the 90-day refund on unused eSIMs is the main safety net.
