Stay with Holafly if you use a lot of data every day, mostly on the phone itself. Look at the alternatives above if you share data with a laptop, need a phone number, or use little data and want to pay for less.
Holafly caps hotspot at 1 GB a day, so sharing a connection with a laptop or a group runs out quickly.
Its trip plans are data only, with no phone number, and its unlimited data falls under the local operators' fair use rules, which can slow your speed for up to a day after heavy use.
Holafly prices by the day with unlimited data. If you only use maps, messages and email, a plan with a fixed amount of data can cost less for the same trip.
The list above shows each alternative's typical price per GB and coverage, live. Open a provider's page to check prices for your destination.
It refunds an eSIM that has not been activated if you ask within 6 months, its validity starts when you connect at your destination, and since September 2026 an installed eSIM can be reused for new trips.
For more hotspot or a phone number, look at the providers above, then compare their prices for your destination.
For light data use, often yes: a fixed data plan can cost less than unlimited days. The list above marks providers whose typical price per GB is lower.
The usual reasons are the 1 GB daily hotspot cap, data-only plans and the fair use rules on unlimited data.
